Patna: Bihar showcased its industrial and investment potential on the global stage with the inauguration of the Bihar Pavilion at the 15th Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Congress 2026 in Dubai, as the state seeks to attract foreign investment and position itself as an emerging industrial hub.The pavilion was inaugurated by industries minister Shreyasi Singh at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Monday in the presence of industry department secretary Kundan Kumar, director Mukul Kumar Gupta and global business delegates.The three-day summit, being held from Sept 7 to 9, brings together policymakers, investors and industry leaders from across the world. Bihar’s participation is aimed at expanding its international outreach and attracting fresh investments into the state.Speaking on the occasion, Singh said Bihar was committed to creating a business-friendly ecosystem and building strong partnerships with global investors. She said the state hoped to convert investor interest into tangible investments through the platform.Industry secretary Kundan Kumar said the summit offered an opportunity to showcase Bihar’s expanding industrial land bank, plug-and-play infrastructure and improving connectivity. He added that sector-specific policies and continued reforms to improve ease of doing business had strengthened Bihar’s investment landscape.The Bihar Pavilion is highlighting several key policy initiatives, including the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package 2025, Bihar Semiconductor Policy 2026, Bihar Global Capability Centre (GCC) Policy 2026, Bihar Tourism Policy, IT Policy and the amended Bihar Textile and Leather Policy 2022.Officials said the state’s participation in AIM Congress is expected to boost investor engagement and strengthen Bihar’s position as an investment destination in eastern India.
