Bengaluru: Two Bescom workers sustained electric shocks while attending an 11 kV jump cut near Sahasra Hospital on Varthur Main Road between 10.30am and 11am, allegedly due to back-feeding from a diesel generator.Venkataraju, 46, and Srinivas, 47, were attending the fault near a Gang Operated Switch structure when they were electrocuted. They had climbed the structure using a wooden ladder while responding to a complaint. The duo were initially taken to Sahasra Hospital and later shifted to a private hospital on Old Airport Road. Both are stable.Varthur police said the workers were found unconscious on the structure, following which Bescom was alerted and power supply was disconnected. No official complaint has been registered.Power line fire in RT NagarPanic gripped RT Nagar Saturday evening after a short circuit triggered a fire on a power line near an online grocery warehouse at 6pm. Locals reported flames and an explosion before alerting Bescom. Personnel inspected the affected line. No casualties were reported.
