Pune: Murlidhar Mohol, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, said on Sunday that the primary investigation into the plane crash that killed Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will be completed by the end of the month. He was speaking with reporters after a citizens’ interaction programme in Pune. “The preliminary report will be released within one month (from the day of the mishap). It will be available on or before February 28; after that, the final report will be published,” he said.NCP (SP) leader and MLA Rohit Pawar had demanded that Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu should resign. He wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking the resignation of the Civil Aviation Minister. Mohol said there was no point in entertaining those allegations. ‘This question should be asked to Naidu. He will give clarification about it,” said Mohol.He said that investigative agencies are doing their work. They are carrying out their probes and trying to ascertain the causes behind the crash. They also provide status and updates about their works through their statements time and again. So raising the doubts on it is unnecessary.“The Civil Aviation Department has issued a statement. It contains detailed clarifications regarding the allegations,” he said.Mohol also stated that the protest carried out by Congress workers at the AI Summit was very unbecoming. An international-level programme was being conducted in Delhi, and this protest embarrassed the country on an international platform. “The workers are being criticised by all strata of society. Even the parties that were supporting Congress are criticising the protest. The common people who were present at the event have taught the Congress workers a lesson,” he said.
