Police recovered the student’s tablet from the Sengar river and said they intensified the investigation and were searching for absconding accused.Manish Yadav was a resident of village Nagla Bandha in the Bharthana police station area. Police said they were continuously searching for the accused after the murder.During the investigation, the police team reached Muktsar Sahib district in Punjab and took Abhishek Yadav into custody from Ajay Colony on Malout Road. After completing necessary legal procedures, police brought him to Bharthana on transit remand and produced him in Court.SSP Brijesh Kumar Srivasatava stated said that when the investigators interrogated him strictly after arrest, Abhishek confessed to the murder. “Abhishek said that after the incident he realised his mistake. He said he was influenced by his friend Vipin’s words and took this step at his behest,” stated SSP further.The accused told police that after the murder, he threw Manish’s tablet in the Sengar river near Amritpur in the Basrehar area with the intention of destroying evidence. On his identification, the police team reached below the river bridge and recovered the tablet from the water. Police said this recovery was extremely important for the investigation and many facts may come to light from it.During interrogation, Abhishek said Vipin had been visiting his house for about 3 years and there was good friendship between them. He said he was not aware that Vipin had one-sided love for his sister Akanksha. According to the accused, Vipin kept track of his sister’s activities and mobile number information and also paid attention to her movements outside the house.Abhishek said Vipin had instigated him against Manish and had prepared the entire murder plan in advance. He said what time Manish went to coaching and when he returned was reconnoitred beforehand. He said that to execute the crime, he also involved a youth named Deepak from his village.
