Exercise caution before you click on any link or open attachments.Weapons found on Uddanapalli roadsideKrishnagiri: Deadly weapons, including long knives, machetes and other sharp weapons, were found in a plastic bag thrown by unidentified persons along the main road near Uddanapalli in the Hosur area of Krishnagiri district on Tuesday, triggering fear among villagers.A few villagers noticed a plastic bag lying near a bush while walking along the road and became suspicious. When they went closer, they found the weapons inside and alerted the Uddanapalli police.Police rushed to the spot after receiving information and seized the weapons. They were investigating whether the weapons were discarded by people planning to commit major crimes after fearing police patrols, or whether unidentified persons threw them away to avoid being caught during recent intensive vehicle checks in the area.“Police were examining CCTV footage in the area and searching for the unidentified persons,” Uddanapalli police said.(Photos: S Parthiban)
