Hyderabad: Union minister G Kishan Reddy alleged that the Congress govt had deliberately included residential properties with valid title documents, house permissions and other permissions in the 22A prohibited list with the intention of facilitating land grabbing and real-estate business. He accused Congress leaders of harassing and exploiting people and alleged that the state has been completely turned into a real-estate business.Addressing the BJP Maha Dharna at Indira Park against the inclusion of private properties under 22A, Kishan Reddy said that, just as the previous KCR govt had indiscriminately sold govt lands, the present Revanth Reddy govt was also selling lands in the same manner. He alleged that attempts were being made to sell lands belonging to the University of Hyderabad (UoH) and the Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), both of which come under the Centre.“Housing board sites, lands allocated for community requirements and parks, and even endowments department lands are being sold in the name of auctions,” he alleged.BJP state president N Ramchander Rao criticised the previous BRS govt for allegedly handing over the Dharani system to a blacklisted software company and committing irregularities. He said that the Congress govt had come to power promising to introduce Bhu Bharati to rectify those shortcomings, but was now committing even more lapses. He also criticised the govt for introducing and enforcing new laws through committees such as the Kodandaram committee.
