Patna: LJP(RV) national president and Union minister Chirag Paswan will be Bihar’s next chief minister, newly nominated state president Surendra Vivek and national general secretary Raju Tiwari said on Friday, asserting that the party would emerge as the single-largest political force in the next assembly elections.The statements were made in the presence of Chirag and Jamui MP Arun Bharti at a felicitation function for Vivek. Vivek said LJP(RV) would emerge as the single-largest party and Chirag would be the natural choice for the CM’s post.Tiwari said party workers would take a pledge to form the govt on their own strength and make Chirag the chief minister.“Chirag Paswan will be our chief minister,” Tiwari declared, expressing confidence that the party would expand its organisational base under Chirag’s leadership.Chirag congratulated Vivek on assuming the responsibility and urged party workers to work with renewed energy to strengthen the organisation across Bihar.Chirag has sought to build a distinct political identity around his ‘Bihar First, Bihari First’ vision, focusing on employment, migration, industrial development and opportunities for the youth.Meanwhile, Chirag described the case involving CJP activist Nishu Azad as “extremely serious” and assured the family of his support in seeking justice.Later, Chirag visited flood-affected areas of Raghopur in his constituency and distributed relief supplies. He also visited a relief camp near Ganga Bridge police station, shared a meal with displaced people and served food at the community kitchen.
