Kolkata: The West Bengal Fire Department on Friday ordered that the basement and two floors of a high-rise building, housing TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee’s office on Camac Street, be vacated over “lack of fire safety measures”. Letters have been sent by the Director-in-Charge Fire and Emergency Services Department to the owner, Rama Devi Goenka, and her law firm following a recent fire audit. They have been directed “not to use the said occupancy until and unless the fire safety measures are complied with.”
