Times News NetworkKanpur: In view of the upcoming Shrikrishna Janmashtami festival, DCP (Traffic) Ravindra Kumar on Wednesday conducted an on-site inspection of ISKCON temple, J.K. temple and Sanatan Dharma temple with the objective of keeping the traffic system smooth, safe and well-organized.The officer directed the officials concerned to prepare an effective action plan for traffic management keeping in mind the possible crowd of devotees, and to ensure arrangements for traffic diversion and alternative routes as required. Effective control should be maintained over unauthorized parking and vehicles causing traffic obstruction around the temples, while ensuring proper use of the *designated parking* sites.The DCP also directed that during the Shrikrishna Janmashtami festival, traffic police duty in adequate numbers should be deployed, especially ensuring the posting of traffic police personnel on the entry and exit routes of the temples, at major intersections, parking sites and places with a likelihood of crowding.
