Bandipora, Sept. 1: The District Bandipora Pencak Silat Association will conduct its official annual District Bandipora Pencak Silat Championship 2026 on September 12 and 13 at Government Primary Boys School, Aragam.
The championship will feature boys and girls athletes from the district and will serve as an important qualifying platform for selection and participation in upcoming competitions.
According to the official notification, participation is compulsory for all active and regular Pencak Silat athletes of Bandipora. Athletes who fail to participate without prior approval or a valid reason accepted by the association will not be considered eligible for district-, UT- or national-level selection trials and championships.
The association said participation in the district championship will be treated as an essential criterion for future selection and representation.
The registration deadline has been fixed for September 9. All eligible athletes have been asked to register by the deadline and ensure their presence on both days of the championship.
