Nagpur: Four juveniles accused in serious offences, including murder and rape, escaped from the government children’s observation home at Patankar Chowk in Kapil Nagar early Sunday after allegedly breaking a bathroom window pane.Police registered a kidnapping case, suspecting that an unknown person may have lured them away.The inmates, aged 16 and 17, were last seen between 1am and 1.30am. One juvenile, transferred from Pune, was later traced, while three remain untraceable.Kapil Nagar police registered an offence under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are checking CCTV footage from the home and nearby streets. Search teams have been deployed at bus stands, railway stations and other likely locations as police examine whether the juveniles escaped on their own or received outside help.
