Pune: The Vishrambaug police on Monday detained 10 Congress workers marching towards the old city area as a precautionary measure amid political rallies and released them later in the evening.“The 10 workers were detained to maintain law and order in the city. They were released late in the evening,” deputy commissioner of police (Zone I) Krushikesh Rawale told TOI.“The group was marching towards the headquarters of an organisation, which could have caused trouble,” he added.Congress party workers were seen carrying copies of some old texts, which they had planned to burn, the police said.
