Times News NetworkKanpur:Family members of two men, both relatives, killed after a vehicle hit their motorcycle at Pariyar bridge in Bithoor on Sunday night blocked the road on Monday, alleging they were deliberately struck and demanded driver’s arrest. The family sought access to CCTV footage from the area to establish the circumstances of the collision and identify the vehicle. Traffic remained affected as police tried to persuade the protesters to end the blockade.Rahul Nishad (27), a Nagar Nigam operator from Bhidaiya village in Bithoor, was taking his relative Sujeet Nishad (25), a hotel waiter, and a resident of Madapur in Safipur, Unnao, home by motorcycle when a speeding vehicle hit them at Pariyar bridge. Rahul died at the spot, while Sujeet, who was seriously injured, died during treatment at a private hospital in Bithoor. Bithoor inspector Ashok Kumar Saroj said police were examining footage from CCTV cameras near the site and would take further action based on the investigation.
