Surat: Two minor girls, aged six and four, were allegedly sexually abused in two separate incidents in Limbayat and Amroli areas, police said on Sunday. Police have arrested two accused, aged 22 and 55, in connection with the two cases registered under the BNS and Pocso Act.In the Limbayat incident, police arrested Irfan Khadi, a resident of Mithi Khadi, for allegedly abducting and sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl while she was playing near her home. The incident took place around 10pm on Friday.According to the complaint, the girl was playing with her friends when Khadi allegedly approached her and took her away. The children informed the victim’s parents, following which her family members and neighbours began searching for her.The girl was later found a few metres from her home on Crematorium Road. When questioned, she allegedly told her family that Khadi had sexually assaulted her. She also said that when she screamed, the accused threatened to throw her into a nearby rivulet.The accused allegedly fled the spot after fearing that he would be caught. The girl‘s parents later approached Limbayat police and lodged a complaint.Police said Khadi is a history-sheeter and had been released from jail around 15 days ago after being detained under the Prevention of Anti-Social Activities (PASA) Act.In a separate incident in Amroli, a four-year-old girl was allegedly sexually abused by a 55-year-old man on Tuesday. The incident came to light after the child complained of pain in her private parts and told her family that accused Gola Pradhan had allegedly sexually assaulted her.Amroli police arrested Pradhan in connection with the case and sent him to judicial custody.Woman alleges rape when she was a minorAn 18-year-old woman approached Katargam police alleging that she was raped in May 2025, when she was a minor. According to the complaint, the accused Sahil Shaikh, (22), took the girl to his friend’s house and forced her to have sexual relations with him. He also threatened her with serious consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone. The woman recently disclosed the incident to her family members, following which they decided to approach police and lodge a complaint. Katargam police have arrested Shaikh, who works as ticket collector at a multiplex in Gopi Talav.
