HAZARIBAG: A man suffered serious injuries after his younger brother allegedly attacked him with an axe at Pakaria village under Sadar block in Chatra district on Friday night.The injured, Sikandar Bhuiyan (37), lodged a complaint at Sadar police station.According to Sikandar, he was sleeping at home at around 10 pm when his younger brother, Vinod Bhuiyan (35), allegedly entered the house and misbehaved with his wife.When she objected, Vinod allegedly returned with an axe and struck Sikandar on the chest, leaving him injured.Sikandar’s wife and some villagers took him to Sadar Hospital, where he received treatment.Sikandar alleged that Vinod had attacked him with an axe on an earlier occasion as well, injuring his hand.Sadar police station officer-in-charge Anil Oraon said, “The matter is being investigated for further action.”
