Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao has called on party leaders and cadres to launch a week-long statewide campaign from September 2, alleging the Congress government’s failures and unfulfilled election promises.KTR during a tele-conference with the party leaders on Friay announced the programme and said the BRS would release a “chargesheet” against the Congress govt at Telangana Bhavan on September 1.The protests will focus on different sections of society each day, he said. On September 2, the party will hold demonstrations over the alleged failure to implement the six guarantees and distribute “pending promise cards” highlighting unfulfilled commitments.Farmers’ issues, including irrigation, power, urea and crop insurance, will be taken up on September 3, while September 4 will focus on women, persons with disabilities and welfare promises. Youth and student issues, including fee reimbursement, the job calendar and employment, will be highlighted on September 5.On September 6, the BRS will raise urban and rural civic issues, followed by petitions at Prajavani centres on September 7. District-level press conferences will be held on September 8 to highlight the party’s campaign and public response.KTR urged party leaders to mobilise people and take the Congress govt’s alleged failures and unfulfilled promises to every household.
