T’puram: Two Priyadarshini buses were allegedly targeted by a gang at Parappu in Kallara on Monday night, damaging the front windshield of one of the buses. The incident occurred around 11.15pm when the buses were parked, according to employees.The buses belonging to the Venjaramoodu and Kilimanoor depots came under attack. According to the complaint, the unidentified men arrived on a motorcycle and hurled stones at the buses before fleeing the spot. The front glass of one bus was shattered in the attack. No injuries have been reported.Employees of the buses later approached Pangode police and lodged a complaint. A case has been registered to trace the culprits.The incident has raised concerns among bus employees, particularly when the vehicles were parked. The motive behind the attack is yet to be established.The Venjaramoodu-Thiruvananthapuram corridor is among the frequently operated routes, with services running at regular intervals.The police are likely to ascertain whether the attack was directed specifically at the buses or was linked to any local dispute.
