Lucknow: A senior doctor from the cardiovascular and thoracic surgery (CVTS) department at Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences has been suspended after a senior resident of the department accused him of harassment and inappropriate conduct.Officials said the administration initiated disciplinary action after receiving the complaint. They added that similar complaints had been raised against him in the past.According to officials, nursing staff and other employees had levelled allegations of mental harassment and inappropriate behaviour against him in 2025. Following an inquiry at the time, an internal committee had issued him a warning letter.Officials said complaints related to the matter had also been submitted to the Human Rights Commission and the Women’s Commission, where grievances concerning the alleged harassment were registered.
