Faridabad: A murder case was registered on Friday after a 14-year-old boy was found dead in AC Nagar on Thursday evening.Tarun was found dead inside a room at his home hours after a man and three others assaulted him following a quarrel over some issue earlier in the day, according to his father Sonu — an autorickshaw driver — who lodged the complaint with police on Thursday.Based on the complaint lodged by Sonu, police registered a case under sections 103(1) (murder) and 3(5) (act done by several persons) of BNS at Kotwali police station, Faridabad. Police are yet to arrest the suspects.Sonu said the boy had a quarrel with Raju’s son. At 4pm, Raju — who lives nearby and works as an electrician — and three boys accompanying him came to his house looking for Tarun. The four went up to the roof looking for the victim, entered a room and “assaulted Tarun to death”. They then allegedly “hanged him and left the house”.At 7pm, Tarun’s mother Mamta, who works as a domestic help, returned home from work and found her son dead. She raised an alarm, following which the family took Tarun to BK Hospital, where the doctor declared him dead.Police said they received information at the police station from the hospital that a boy had died. An ASI, accompanied by constable Manjeet, reached BK Hospital.“Both my husband and I were away to work. When I returned home around 7 pm, I found my child dead. Raju killed my child and thus he should be hanged,” Mamta said while talking to the media. In his complaint, Sonu said Tarun “was not tall enough to hang himself” on his own and alleged that he had been killed. He sought strict legal action against Raju.“I took my son for the morning walk before leaving for work on Thursday, but I didn’t know that I was watching him for the last time. Raju should not be spared for killing an innocent child. He ruined my family and should be punished,” Sonu said.
