Gorakhpur: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday directed senior officials to take strict action against revenue officials found negligent in resolving land-related disputes, saying that no laxity would be tolerated in ensuring justice to complainants.The chief minister issued the directive during the Janata Darshan at Gorakhnath Temple after a woman complained that influential people were refusing to grant her access to a road and were allegedly threatening her, saying she could file a complaint wherever she wanted.Yogi took the complaint seriously and directed senior administrative officials to ensure the woman was provided a passage. “If the lekhpal, kanoongoh and tehsildar consider themselves helpless in getting her a road, suspend all of them,” he said.The chief minister further directed officials to initiate strict action wherever negligence was found at any level in the disposal of land-related cases. Depending on the seriousness of the matter, suspension proceedings should also be initiated against the officials concerned, he said.“No laxity or negligence at any level will be tolerated,” Yogi told the officials.Yogi, who had arrived in Gorakhpur on Monday, interacted with around 200 people during the Janata Darshan organised outside the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan on Tuesday morning. He personally heard their grievances, examined their applications and took note of their complaints.Assuring the people that they need not worry, the chief minister said the govt stood with every needy person and was committed to ensuring the resolution of genuine grievances.Several other complainants also raised issues related to land and alleged negligence by revenue officials. Taking note of their complaints, Yogi directed the district magistrates concerned to initiate strict action wherever lapses were found.The chief minister also assured people seeking financial assistance for medical treatment that the government would extend all possible help. He directed officials to ensure that eligible beneficiaries were issued Ayushman cards so that they could avail themselves of cashless treatment.Yogi said that even after the Ayushman scheme, if further financial assistance was required, eligible patients would be provided support from the Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund.He instructed officials present at the Janata Darshan to ensure that every eligible needy person was covered under the Ayushman scheme and did not have to face difficulties in accessing treatment.
