Patna: The body of Rosie Khatoon, a dancer from Kolkata, was found at a rented flat in Indira Nagar Road No. 3 under Jakkanpur police station area of Patna on Monday night with police suspecting a drug overdose. She had arrived in Patna on Aug 12 and was staying at her friend’s flat.Police said Rosie’s friend Soma Mandal and her husband Aryan had left for Deoghar on Aug 14. Aryan’s nephew was present with Rosie when she died on Aug 17. Aryan said he was away and learned about the incident from his nephew after returning. He reached Patna on Tuesday morning.Aryan told police that Rosie was found dead where she had been sitting. He said his nephew had been at his fast food shop near Gate No. 2 of Mithapur old bus stand when she died.Aryan and his nephew later reached PMCH for the postmortem. An FSL team examined the scene.Manoj Kumar, Patna Sadar SDPO-I, said police were investigating. “Prima facie, it appears that the woman was an addict and died of drug overdose,” he said.
