Gandhinagar: Minister in charge of Gandhinagar district, Harsh Sanghavi, chaired a high-level review meeting on Tuesday to assess the progress of ongoing road and drainage projects. The meeting was convened following instructions from union home minister Amit Shah, who is also the Member of Parliament from Gandhinagar.According to a govt statement, Shah had sought updates on the status of road and drainage works in Gandhinagar city and directed Sanghavi to ensure focused, result-oriented action.To prevent inconvenience to citizens caused by damaged roads and overflowing drainage lines, Sanghavi instructed senior officials to prepare a special action plan. The goal is to improve infrastructure quality and ensure timely completion of projects.The meeting was attended by Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation mayor Meena Patel, standing committee chairman Gaurang Vyas, Gandhinagar North MLA Rita Patel, Gandhinagar South MLA Alpesh Thakor, and other public representatives. They discussed citizens’ issues in detail, the statement added.Senior officials from the chief minister’s office, urban development department, water supply department, roads and buildings department, district collectorate, and police department were also present during the meeting.
