Lucknow: On the eve of the 80th Independence Day, chief minister Yogi Adityanath extended greetings to the people of the state and paid homage to the martyrs, freedom fighters, and soldiers who dedicated their lives for the country,“It is the duty of every citizen to remember the sacrifice, penance, and dedication of freedom fighters. Independence Day inspires us to renew our resolve to protect the nation’s unity, integrity, and sovereignty, while also working toward building a developed India,” he said.The CM said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India was rapidly advancing towards becoming a developed nation by 2047. UP, with its capability and manpower, was playing a leading role to achieve this goal, he said, adding that UP was setting new standards in development, good governance, and public welfare.Yogi Adityanath spoke about the expansion of expressways, airports, industrial corridors, modern transportation, and digital infrastructure in the state, which was creating new opportunities for investment and employment. He mentioned initiatives like ‘One District, One Product’ which were connecting local products and entrepreneurs to the global market.“The goal of making the state a USD 1 trillion economy is an important part of this development journey. The government’s development model is based on the empowerment of every section of society. We are committed to the welfare of every section of society, including villages, the poor, farmers, labourers, women, and youth and efforts are being made to bring about positive change in the life of every citizen through quality education, better healthcare, employment, women’s empowerment, farmers’ prosperity, and a safe environment,” he said.The CM called upon the people of the state to work actively to fulfil the resolve of a developed India. He said: “Let us all come together to build a UP that leads in development, good governance, security, and prosperity, and plays an important role in building a developed India.”
