Ghaziabad: A 20-year-old man died after falling from the 14th floor of a tower in Mahagunpuram society in Kavi Nagar. Police suspect suicide, but the exact reasons are yet to be ascertained.A senior police officer said that he was a student of Class 12 at a private school in Dehradun and had come to stay with his parents at Wave City a few days ago. ACP Kavi Nagar Siddharth Gautam said he was first seen entering the society around 11 am. His body was later found lying on the ground.Police said he took the stairs to the 14th floor and may have jumped from there. His mobile phone, however, was recovered from the staircase on the 10th floor, with its screen broken. “It is suspected he may have thrown his mobile on the staircase while speaking to someone as the mobile screen is broken,” ACP said.Police are having the mobile phone repaired as they hope its contents, including call or other relevant details, may help establish what happened before the incident and ascertain the reason behind the suspected suicide.Police said that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
