Prayagraj: Sitting inside a makeshift camp for kanwariyas on Jhunsi route, Manoj Kushwah, 25, is resting for few minutes before resuming his yatra. He’s almost on the midway of 160 long km trip to Kashi Vishwanath. Home in Kaushambi is still nearly 80 km away and the two pots of Gangajal he has shouldered from the Ganga in Sangam are weighing him down. However, instead of pain and exhaustion, Manoj is full of excitement as he has lone aim to please his God.He said, “This year, I wanted to be part of the kanwar yatra and felt a sense of bonding with with other kanwariyas around me. This was the reason that I set out for Kashi with two of my neighbours on Tuesday.”Apart from Sangam city, devotees of Lord Shiv from other districts and even state like Madhya Pradesh are marching towards Kashi Vishwanath and Baba Baijnath dham after taking holy water from Sangam. Chanting ‘Bol Bam’, Shiva mantra and ‘Shiv Tandav Stotram’, devotees including women have only mission to offer Jalabhishek to please lord Shiv at the ongoing Shrawan month.For them, its about faith, devotion and determination that brought them from far flung districts and states to Sangam to take holy water. “=====eo,m
