Charkhi Dadri: Four men have been arrested for allegedly opening fire 30 rounds on a black Scorpio carrying a group of youths in Charkhi Dadri on Aug 6, police said.The arrested accused — Kunal alias Sandy, Vishal Anand, Sudhir and Darshan alias Baman — were produced before a local court and remanded in judicial custody.According to police, armed assailants had opened indiscriminate fire on the Scorpio near a sweet shop. The vehicle was found riddled with bullet marks and its side windows shattered. Several occupants were injured and were taken to the civil hospital in Charkhi Dadri before being referred to PGIMS, Rohtak.The arrests followed a probe into the shooting. Police seized the damaged SUV and recovered a Maruti Suzuki SX4 allegedly used by Vishal Anand and a Mahindra Bolero Camper pickup without a registration number allegedly linked to Sudhir.Preliminary questioning indicated that a conspiracy had allegedly been hatched on Aug 5 to target Amit, a resident of Fatehgarh, and his associates. Police said further details of the alleged plot were still being investigated.
