Lucknow: A 20-km-long Tiranga Yatra led by Rajeshwar Singh, MLA from Sarojini Nagar, drew a massive turnout in Lucknow on Wednesday with many young people, including Gen Z participants, joining the march, carrying the national flag.eld under the slogan “Har Haath Mein Tiranga, Har Dil Mein Hindustan”, the yatra began from a petrol pump near Ashok Leyland gate number two and concluded at a public park in Vrindavan Yojana, Telibagh. Despite the intense heat, participants turned up in large numbers, organisers said.International cricketer RP Singh participated in the march from its beginning to the conclusion, adding to the enthusiasm among young participants. The organisers said the yatra conveyed three key messages — nation first, remembrance of the sacrifices of freedom fighters and soldiers and national unity among the younger generation.The procession passed through several prominent areas, including Nadarganj, Amausi, Hindnagar, Ashiyana, Lok Bandhu, Khazana Chauraha and Saleh Nagar, where local representatives and residents welcomed the participants. As part of the women’s empowerment initiative, 70 sewing machines were distributed among members of the Tara Shakti women’s group.Singh said the yatra sought to strengthen patriotism, civic responsibility and unity among citizens.
