Ahmedabad: A 31-year-old woman from Bhildi in Banaskantha district has filed a police complaint accusing five men, including two police head constables, of allegedly sexually assaulting her multiple times over the past three months. The complaint has been registered at the Deesa police station under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including those related to gangrape, criminal intimidation and cheating.According to the complaint, the woman, a mother of two, had been staying at her parental home in Bhildi after a domestic dispute with her husband. During this period, she came into contact with the accused, two of whom are serving as head constables, while the others are reportedly local businessmen or politically connected individuals. She alleged that the accused developed a relationship with her under the pretext of helping her secure a govt job.The woman stated that she was allegedly taken to hotels along the Deesa-Dhanera highway and other locations including Ambaji and Rasana, where she was sexually assaulted against her will. She further claimed that the accused used threats and their alleged influence to prevent her from reporting the incidents, warning her of defamation and harm. The complaint also mentions she continued to face alleged harassment through phone calls. One of them allegedly pressured her to bring another woman to him in exchange for support and protection.She disclosed the events to her husband who encouraged her to file the complaint. Police have initiated a preliminary investigation. No arrests had been made at the time of reporting. The accused include two police personnel, a businessman and two others, one of whom remains unidentified.
