Amravati: Dharni and Chikhaldara talukas in Amravati district have featured among the top 40 nationally in NITI Aayog’s Delta Ranking for January-March 2026 under Aspirational Taluka Programme.Among 27 aspirational talukas in Maharashtra, Dharni secured the first rank and Chikhaldara the second. In Zone 4, comprising Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan, Dharni ranked third and Chikhaldara fourth among 69 talukas. At the national level, Dharni stood 33rd and Chikhaldara 37th among 513 aspirational talukas.The rankings reflect the two talukas’ performance across health and nutrition, education, agriculture and farmer welfare, social development, and infrastructure.District administration attributed the achievement to coordinated efforts by Zilla Parishad Amravati, Dharni and Chikhaldara panchayat samitis, and departments of health, education, agriculture and rural development. Officials and field staff were congratulated for their contribution to the achievement.
