Kanpur: Newly appointed chief executive officer of UP State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA), Balkar Singh assumed charge on Thursday and held his first review meeting with senior officials at the authority’s headquarters in Kanpur. During the meeting, he emphasised that providing prompt and transparent services to investors, strengthening industrial infrastructure, and accelerating industrial development will be the top priorities.Addressing the meeting, Singh said, “Under chief minister Yogi Adityanath, UP is rapidly emerging as one of the most attractive investment destinations in the country. UPSIDA has a crucial role to play in achieving the goal of making the state a one-trillion-dollar economy, and the authority will work with full commitment in this direction.”Singh pushed officials for high-quality development and proper maintenance of all essential facilities across industrial areas, including roads, electricity, water supply, drainage, street lighting, sanitation, security, and green development. He also issued directions for the effective implementation of UPSIDA’s key priorities, including providing time-bound and transparent services to investors through a single-window system and strengthening and modernising industrial infrastructure.He said that processes related to land allotment, building plan approvals, lease execution, NOCs, and other online services will be further simplified and made more transparent. An effective monitoring system will be developed to ensure the timely resolution of investor grievances and pending cases.“Investor satisfaction will be our highest priority. UPSIDA’s functioning will be made more transparent, technology-driven, and result-oriented, ensuring that all services are delivered to investors in a timely and efficient manner. Also, UPSIDA will be further strengthened as a responsive, reliable and industry-friendly institution, with all officers and employees working together in a spirit of teamwork,” he added.
