Nagpur: A 52-year-old man, whose decomposed body was found at his Ramai Nagar railway crossing residence in Kamptee late Sunday night, may have died on Friday. His mother was found unconscious beside him in critical condition.The sister of the deceased, Suresh Bawane, told police she met him on Friday morning and suspects he died due to illness later in the day. Investigators have ruled out foul play and suicide.As per sources, Bawane’s 72-year-old mother, Lakshmi, is a diabetes patient suffering from hypertension. She was bedridden and reportedly unable to seek help after losing consciousness. The incident came to light after a foul smell emanating from the decomposing body made neighbours suspicious. A team from Kamptee police station rushed to the spot after being alerted, rescued the elderly woman and shifted her to a hospital. Police said Suresh was an alcoholic and was also suffering from jaundice. Police have registered a case of accidental death.Sources said Suresh’s wife had left him two years ago and moved to Amravati.
