Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has suspended the conductor who crashed an electric bus into a roadside canteen in Peenya on Friday, resulting in the death of 25-year-old G Suma, a telecaller. The outsourced operator of the e-bus has dismissed the driver. a BMTC spokesperson Sunday said the investigation is on. On Friday, the BMTC bus, driven by the conductor, had rammed into an eatery on the pavements of Peenya. Probe revealed that the conductor had no technical expertise to operate an e-bus. He just wanted to move the vehicle a few feet ahead but ended up causing an accident that also injured four people.
