Ludhiana: Onlookers tackled three armed men who had attempted to rob a pedestrian at knifepoint on Monday in Tajpur Road’s Bhola Colony.The suspects — Balwinder Singh, Deepak, and Narinder Kumar — allegedly targeted pedestrian Anup Kumar, holding a knife to his neck while attempting to steal his mobile phone. Araised an alarm, prompting nearby residents to intervene. The crowd restrained the suspects as they attempted to flee on a motorcycle and held them until police arrived.Division Number 7 police registered a case against the trio based on Kumar’s complaint. Assistant Sub-Inspector Dinesh Kumar said authorities are reviewing the suspects’ criminal records as part of the ongoing investigation.
