Pune: A 33-year-old IT professional died after falling from the balcony of his 15th floor flat located in an upscale society in Hadapsar early on Saturday morning.The incident caused panic in the housing society. Later in the day, Hadapsar police registered an accidental death report (ADR).Senior inspector Hemant Patil of Hadapsar police station told TOI, “The deceased techie was working with a prominent company in this area. He was married and hails from Odisha, where his parents reside. Due to some marital differences, his divorce proceedings were under way in court. As a result, he had been living alone in the flat here.”The officer added, “It is suspected that he jumped off the balcony and landed in the parking area of the complex. After hearing a loud thud, security guards rushed to the spot and found him lying seriously injured on the premises. They immediately informed the police. We rushed there and moved the man to a hospital located nearby, where he was declared dead on arrival.”Patil said, “Our team found that the door of his flat was locked from the inside. They subsequently contacted his wife, opened the lock, and entered the flat. However, no suicide note was found at the scene. We have informed his father.”
