Ludhiana: Police have arrested two men, including a distant relative and a neighbour, for allegedly repeatedly raping and impregnating a 13-year-old girl after her mother discovered the pregnancy following complaints of severe stomach pain.The incident came to light after the minor complained of acute abdominal pain, prompting her mother to examine her and suspect pregnancy, which was later confirmed during a medical examination. Upon questioning, the girl disclosed that a distant relative who previously lived nearby had raped her in December 2025.The victim further revealed that starting in January 2026, another youth residing in the same labour quarters repeatedly sexually assaulted her.Following the disclosure, the victim’s mother immediately approached the police and lodged a formal complaint detailing the abuse by both individuals.Police registered an FIR under Sections 64 (rape) and 61 (criminal conspiracy) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), alongside Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
