Ara: A 40-year-old man died after being hit by a speeding truck on the Ara-Sasaram state highway under Piro police station area in Bhojpur district on early Friday morning. He was on his way to Piro Bazaar to have tea and snacks when the accident occurred.The deceased was identified as Premchand Shah alias Potan, son of Amawas Shah and a resident of Ward No. 25 of Ibrahimpur Nagar Panchayat. His family members said the incident took place between 2.30am and 3am.Piro SHO Deepak Kumar said a police patrol team spotted Shah lying dead near Musahar Toli on the Ara-Sasaram state highway. “The body was sent to Ara sadar hospital for postmortem. Efforts are on to identify and trace the truck driver involved in the accident,” he said.Shah, the second among five siblings, is survived by his wife and four-year-old son.
