Patna: Three people — an aspirant and two fake candidates — were caught for impersonation during police constable recruitment exam from a centre in Siwan district on Sunday. The forgery was detected during biometric verification of the exam, conducted by Central Selection Board of Constable, when two individuals were caught impersonating candidates Arjun Kumar and Dilkhush Kumar. Police then raided a private hotel and arrested one of the original candidates, while the other is on the run. “The three arrested individuals are being questioned at Town police station, and search for the absconding candidate is on. Police are investigating whether this forgery is part of an organised gang. The culprits will face strict punishment, and the integrity of the examination will be maintained. Security agencies have been alerted,” said Siwan SP Manoj Kumar Tiwari.
