Lucknow: In a relief for crores of electricity consumers across the state, the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited has issued directives to simplify service requests by eliminating the need for unnecessary documentation.Except for change of title cases, all other services will now be processed using departmental records alone. This decision was made during a review meeting attended by UPPCL‘s chief engineer, directors, managing director and senior officials via video conferencing.UPPCL chairman Ashish Kumar Goel said: “Consumers often face repeated visits to electricity offices due to demands for old documents. Officials have been directed to resolve complaints using internal records and ensure minimal hassle for consumers.”To further assist customers, UPPCL has extended its mega bill correction camps to July 21 and 22. Initially scheduled to end on Saturday, the extension comes in response to overwhelming public participation.
