Patna: Justice Sudhir Singh, judge of the Punjab and Haryana high court, will take oath as a judge of the Patna high court on Tuesday.A notice to this effect was issued by the Patna high court administration.Justice Singh was originally appointed as a judge of the Patna high court on April 15, 2015. Known for delivering significant verdicts—particularly in criminal matters—and disposing of a large number of pending criminal appeals, he was transferred to the Punjab and Haryana high court on Nov 2, 2023.On July 14 this year, the central govt, accepting the recommendations of the Supreme Court collegium, repatriated Justice Singh to his parent high court in Patna.Upon assuming office, he will be the third senior-most judge at the Patna high court, following Chief Justice Vipul M Pancholi and Justice P B Bajanthri.
