Vadodara: A three-feet-long crocodile was spotted in the Manjalpur area of the city, which is a few kilometres away from the Vishwamitri river, early on Saturday morning. Crocodiles leave the river at night, with enhanced water levels due to heavy rain also playing a role. The reptile was briefly seen near a residential colony next to the Sun Circle, following which the locals immediately began looking for it.The crocodile, however, disappeared leaving the residents in a state of panic for hours. But, it again crawled back to the road on Saturday night after which the locals contacted wildlife activists. The reptile was rescued and handed over to the forest department. A 10-feet-long crocodile was further rescued in Padra taluka after rainwater flooded some roads on Saturday.
