Bengaluru: Mapping, done before the enumeration phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll has been useful for booth-level officers (BLOs) to digitise the applications that have come to them. However, in cases where the mapping itself has mistakes, BLOs have the option to rectify the details and set the digital record right, Election Commission (ECI) officials said.Dr Basavaraj BC of Jagrutha Karnataka, an organisation that has been in touch with voters and BLOs in the state, said, “When the mapping process started in April-May, we checked with the BLOs who were under immense pressure to complete the process at the earliest.

And hence BLAs are given the list for the process till Aug 8.”He said he did not receive complaints on wrong mapping.
