Bengaluru: Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting is acquiring TTK Healthcare’s Good Home and Eva brands for Rs 256 crore, marking its 17th acquisition as the company looks to strengthen its presence in India’s home care and personal care markets through buyouts and organic expansion. The two brands together reported revenue of Rs 148 crore in FY26. Good Home has a portfolio spanning air care, odour removers, scrubbers and drain cleaners, while Eva, one of India’s earliest deodorant brands, sells deodorants, no-gas perfumes, roll-ons and talcum powder. The acquisition is part of Wipro Consumer Care’s strategy of building scale in categories where it already has a presence and sees long-term growth potential.“We have been looking at acquisitions, but only where there is a strategic fit,” Kumar Chander, CEO of Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting, told TOI. “Good Home and Eva complement our existing portfolio and strengthen our presence in categories that continue to have strong consumer relevance.”For Wipro, Eva fills an important gap in its fragrance portfolio. The company already owns Yardley, a premium fragrance brand, but sees Eva as an opportunity to deepen its presence among younger consumers.“The fragrance category in India is significantly underpenetrated,” Chander said. “The market today is around Rs 5,000 crore, but per-capita consumption is roughly one-tenth that of Indonesia. That gives us confidence that this category can grow many-fold over the next decade.”He said Yardley has a strong franchise among consumers aged 25 and above, while Eva has built a loyal following among younger consumers, making the two brands complementary rather than overlapping.Neeraj Khatri, chief executive of Wipro Consumer Care, said the acquisition would allow the company to leverage its existing manufacturing, sourcing and distribution capabilities.“Eva is a natural extension of our portfolio. We understand the category, we have the supply chain, and we know the consumer. Yardley addresses the premium segment, while Eva helps us strengthen our presence among younger consumers,” Khatri said. The company also sees significant headroom growth in home care. Good Home gives Wipro a presence in categories such as air fresheners and specialised household cleaners, complementing its existing offerings.
