Patna: A 20-year-old woman was allegedly abducted at gunpoint by a group of armed men in Munger district, just 19 days after her marriage. The incident took place on Monday night near Naulakha under Qasim Bazar police station area.According to her husband, he and his wife, were returning to Jamalpur in an e-rickshaw after visiting a fish pond with family members when three motorcycles carrying around nine armed men intercepted them.The man alleged that the attackers assaulted him and his relatives before forcing his wife out of the vehicle at gunpoint and fleeing towards Jamalpur.He told police that he learned after the marriage that his wife had been acquainted with a youth from her village and suspected the abduction was linked to that relationship.Qasim Bazar SHO Ruby Kashyap said no written complaint had been lodged so far. She said preliminary investigation suggested that the woman had been in a relationship with one of the accused and that the marriage had taken place against her wishes.
