Bengaluru: A 36-year-old car wash service centre owner was assaulted twice by a gang after he raised objections to them smoking in a public place near his shop in Andrahalli, west Bengaluru.Prashanth HB told police the incident happened at 8.45am on July 14 when he visited a condiments shop in Kalikanagar, adjacent to his service centre, for tea. He noticed four to five men smoking cigarettes in front of the shop and requested them to stop.The group reacted aggressively, abused him using obscene language and then assaulted him, Prashanth told police.Later in the evening, when Prashanth was walking near Andrahalli Shiva Temple, the same group intercepted him again. They assaulted him and threatened to kill him if he dared to interfere again.
