Ahmedabad: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday declared the results of the NEET (UG) 2026, with 11.21 lakh candidates qualifying for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH and allied health programmes across the country.According to sources, four students from Gujarat were among the Top 100 rank holders. Two of them were from Ahmedabad and placed within the Top 50. The names of the Gujarat toppers were not yet confirmed.Nationally, 138 candidates scored above 690 marks out of 720, with more than 93% of them being first-time test takers. Nineteen candidates crossed the 700-mark, while 1,492 scored 650 or above. As many as 10,160 candidates secured 600 or more, and 90,780 scored at least 500 marks.Nearly 20 lakh candidates appeared for the re-examination, which was conducted on June 21 across 5,440 centres in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. The June examination was held following a major paper leak controversy that affected the original NEET (UG) held on May 3.The NTA has uploaded individual scorecards on its official website, enabling candidates to download their results and prepare for the counselling process.Women accounted for more than 58% of all qualified candidates. Their qualification rate stood at 56.8%, marginally higher than the 55.1% recorded among male candidates.
