Bengaluru: A social media influencer has landed in legal trouble after allegedly misbehaving with women staffers at a restobar in Muddenapalya, Bengaluru west. He allegedly refused to pay his bill, and later issued death threats to the pub manager for exposing the incident online.According to a complaint filed by the manager of New Sunrise Resto Bar and Pub, the incident took place at around 9.20pm on July 9, when the accused, identified as Manju alias “Amaku Dumuku,” visited the pub on the pretext of promoting the bar.The complainant said Manju consumed food and drinks at the pub, but attempted to leave without paying the bill. When she refused, he allegedly abused her, claiming that many women working in pubs would willingly come to his room if he called them, and warned her not to show him any attitude. After the accused left the premises, the manager recorded videos explaining the incident and shared them on social media.Following the posts, the manager alleged that Manju called her on the phone and threatened her with dire consequences for publicising the incident. According to the complaint, he warned he would defame her, would not spare her, and threatened to kill her. The manager alleged that Manju’s mother also called her and abused her, and that he later visited the pub with a group of friends looking for the staff members involved.Annapoorneshwarinagar police have registered a case against Manju, his mother, and others on charges relating to the sexual harassment of women employees, criminal intimidation, and other offences.
