Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum administration has announced elaborate arrangements for the Rath Yatra scheduled on July 16 to ensure the safety and convenience of devotees.Deputy commissioner Rajiv Ranjan directed officials to inspect procession routes, install sturdy barricades at key intersections, identify designated parking areas, prepare a comprehensive traffic diversion plan and set up public address systems at various locations to guide devotees. The DC said all officers concerned have been instructed to complete their assigned work within the stipulated time.On Saturday, Ranjan reviewed arrangements related to law and order, security, crowd management and public amenities. He also directed officials to deploy ambulances and medical teams along the procession routes. The fire service and disaster management departments have been asked to remain on alert, while the energy department has been instructed to ensure uninterrupted power supply.SSP Ehtesham Waquarib said special security measures would be implemented at sensitive and crowded locations. A three-tier security arrangement, along with quick response teams (QRTs), will be deployed along the routes. CCTV cameras will be installed for remote monitoring from the central control room in Sakchi.On July 7, anoutfit submitted a memorandum to Ranjan, seeking comprehensive arrangements for the yatra.Processions will be taken out from Bistupur Ram Mandir, Kadma Uliyan, Utkal Club Association, Beldih Naga Mandir, New Baradwari Gandhi Ashram, Mango, Jugsalai, Parsudih, Sakchi, Namda Basti, Golmuri and other localities.
