While talking to Mid Day, the actress shared that she feels that Bollywood still continues to judge women after they reach a certain age. She stated, “On the big screen, a heroine is always of a certain age. Once that age is crossed, unlike heroes, who can continue playing lead roles even in their 60s, women are usually offered the roles of a mother or an aunty.”However, addressing the changing paradigms of cinema and storytelling, she further commented that the rise of OTT has changed this scenario drastically. “On OTT, the times have changed”, she added, further commenting on how microdramas are a popular concept online which will only grow in the future. “I think microdrama is here to stay because it’s pretty short, keeping the phone screen in mind. And because everyone has phones, the penetration is much higher,” she also shared.
