Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has advised TPG on its acquisition of 100 percent of the share capital of Aseem Infrastructure Finance, from National Investment and Infrastructure Fund II (NIIF II), Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and the Government of India. Linklaters acted as the international legal counsel to TPG on this deal. Trilegal guided Aseem Infrastructure Finance and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co acted for NIIF II on this transaction.
The transaction remains subject to closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
TPG, a global alternative asset management firm, has entered into definitive agreements to acquire a 100 percent stake in Aseem Infrastructure Finance, in partnership with co-investors GIC and ICICI Bank, with ICICI Bank set to hold up to 5 percent in the company.
The deal is being executed through TPG Rise Climate, the firm’s dedicated climate investing platform, under its Global South Initiative.
