Prayagraj: Kaushambi police on Sunday launched a probe into the death of a 35-year-old woman and her infant. The woman and the child reportedly died three days after the child’s delivery at a hospital.Khushboo Devi (35) of Alwara village delivered a baby girl on July 1 at a private nursing home. After delivery her condition started deteriorating on July 4, police said.The woman’s family shifted her to another hospital in Prayagraj on the evening of the same day but both the mother and the newborn child died late on Saturday night. Both the bodies were brought back to their village.In their complaint to police, the family members levelled allegations of murder against unknown persons. The police have sent both the bodies for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death and would initiate action accordingly.
